patchwork scarf–or–ran out of yarn

I love the process of knitting.  Just straight knitting.  While shopping for yarn with a friend, I decided to pick up some acrylic yarn in a color I love, mustard green. It was on sale.  I figured I would just knit a quick scarf for myself.  Toward the end I could see that I would not have enough mustard green but I didn’t need a whole skien.  So I rummaged around my own collection and came up with a grey wool I thought would be a good match.

It actually looks better than in the photo.   I think. . . . .
