two years of geometry 1 was wasted on me

I’m creating a quilted table runner for a friend of mine.  She’s given me her color scheme and left the design up to me. So I’m using a traditional log cabin pattern.  Graph paper is always my favorite tool on projects like this.  Somehow I think if I were better at math and geometry the project would go a little smoother but maybe it wouldn’t be as much fun.

Here is a photo of one of twelve blocks that will complete the quilt.  Followed by a photo of the earlier first mock ups.

My friend likes earth colors and it was challenging and interesting matching fabric with her color scheme.

I’ll be posting more photos as I progress and then the finished product.
